LATE entry Pateres of Barangay Buhisan is expected to give the teams a run for their money when the 2011 Sinulog Softball Cup kicks off this Sunday at the Labangon Elementary School grounds.
The entry of Pateres raised the number of participants to 13 in the seniors division.
Tournament organizer Dionisio Bacarisas told Sun.Star Cebu he is expecting the team to make waves, especially with its young and athletic line-up.
“The team came in very late but still we accommodated them because all we want is to spread awareness of softball to the barangays. The players are sons of former players and I believe they got their fathers’ skills,” said Bacarisas. (more)
