Greetings Board

The Sinulog is one of the most colorful festivals in Asia today. It is celebrated for nine days with two major activities as highlights–a religious procession on Saturday and grand street parade the next day. It got its name from a ritual dance in honor of the miraculous image of the Santo Niño.

Sinulog season is one of those times for Filipinos, especially Cebuanos, to connect and share notes, Sun.Star has devoted this page to hear your greetings and thoughts.

Leave your comments here and join Cebuanos and the rest of Filipinos here in the country and the world in celebrating Cebu’s grandest festival, the Sinulog.

Sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the Santo Nenyo. The dance moves two steps forward and one step backward to the sound & beat of the drums. This movement resembles the current (Sulog) of what was known as Cebu’s Pahina River. Thus, in Cebuano, it’s Sinulog. One Dance!!! One Beat!!! One Vision…VIVA PIT SENYOR to my family and relatives resides in Tina-an, Naga City, Cebu and to all of Cebuano’s and visitors celebrating one of Cebu’s Grandest Festival…hope that there will be no heavy rains, peaceful and successful Sinulog competition…
